What is the difference between optical and digital zoom?
I want a camera and not know the difference … for example, is a camera device 4x digital 3x optical and sound that will take high quality photos need only takin pictures all day, near or far even if I go to concerts I want to zoom too also close if you have any suggestions for the cameras to be grateful;)
The optical zoom lens is a little like using a telescope. Digital zoom is the same as the expansion of computer software in the resampling expansion not only of pixels. You get grainy, pixelated. You'd better take the photo and resample on the computer with software such as IrfanView (Freeware). You can bend without significant image degradation, especially in the small size prints such as 4 x 6. I suggest you go with Kodak, HP, Olympia, or any other well known brands (I prefer Kodak). Get at least a 3x optical zoom (I prefer 5 +), 5MP or more and be sure to get an SD card slot. It is the most popular and best card you can get less money. Get a IGB or more cards, but if the device can be used, can get more than 2 GB, but more than 1 GB, make sure you have high-speed cards.
